Cornell Concert Series presents

Eighth Blackbird

Winners of four Grammy awards, this Chicago-based sextet has provoked and impressed audiences for over 20 years. Their 2017 CCS program combines works from their collaboration with the Sleeping Giant composer collective with their previous album, "Filament". Bringing art and sound together, Eighth Blackbird's multimedia presentation of "Murder Ballades" uses new music to draw upon the timeless dark side of American folk music and European fairy tales.
